The cartridge heaters MD series belong to intermediate series, heating elements rather long with watt densities untill 10w/cm2.
MD cartridge heaters consist of one or more nickel-chrome spirals which are located in a more internal position than in the cartridge heaters HD series, but the compaction of the magnesium oxide gives a high thermal exchange and safe running in very difficult working conditions.
