The cartridge heaters LD series have a maximum watt density of 5 W/cm2.

Inside the stainless steel tube there is a ceramic core immersed in a mass of not-compressed Mgo .
A spiral made of nickel-chrome wire lies in two or more holes in the ceramic core.

When the thermal, mechanical and working conditions are suitable, the LD heater is a valid option for compressed Mgo heater, above all in economical terms.
